Incident Command Vehicles

Incident communication platforms are an essential element to well-managed disasters and incident control and AWT is pleased to offer custom-built mobile platforms to meet the needs of your agency. AWT currently supports its customers with trailers for Communication Hubs and Command Centers but other mobile communication solutions are available.

What Is The Value Of An Incident Command Vehicle?

Incidents are unpredictable; your communications shouldn’t be. When traditional communication systems are destroyed, overloaded or are insufficient for a specific event or incident, a mobile platform can help you rapidly establish critical communications. Turnkey solutions from AWT can get you up and running, so you can effectively handle any communication situation.

Why A Trailer?

With a trailer, no Commercial Driver’s License is required. Trailers can be towed by many existing vehicles the agency already owns and maintains. Trailers also allow the tow vehicle to be used for other applications or assignments after the trailer is deployed. A trailer’s compact size permits it to be driven down tight alleys and other places where larger models cannot go. Since the unit isn’t self-propelled, it has a lower operating cost over self-propelled solutions.

How Does AWT Meet Your Needs?

While AWT is first and foremost a Public Safety communications business, we partner with leading manufacturers to build new or retrofit existing incident command platforms. Through our years of experience designing and building Public Safety grade land mobile radio solutions, we can create a tailored solution that meets your needs. Trailers can have fully finished walls and floors and can be outfitted with cabinets, counters and storage areas. Platforms can be designed with doors, windows, roof-mounted air conditioners, galleys and bathrooms – whatever your needs dictate.
