E911 Network Technical Support
Responsibilities:
Provide technical analysis and support to diagnose and
resolve complex E911 service and feature related problems
Respond to trouble tickets, escalations, and inbound calls
Utilize reporting tools to meet critical guidelines and
performance targets associated with E911
Support and participate in root-cause analysis
investigations, systems integration, and E911 related
software / hardware upgrades
This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a
field relating to wireless operations and engineering.
Previous experience in a technical support role is strongly
preferred. Familiarity with Various Application software is
preferred (MapInfo, CrossStreets, Snooper, Netcool,
Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, NetAnalyst, etc.). Due
to the scope of this position, a broad knowledge of network
systems, call handling and associated applications is
necessary. Strong communications skills are also vital.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed,
along with strong interpersonal skills. Strong
trouble-shooting abilities, strong understanding of GSM and
UMTS technologies, strong understanding of Voicemail, HLR,
SMS, WAP, E911, WLS and other Adjunct Systems, and a strong
understanding of Call Processing Flow and Features are
required.
Communication Technician 2
Responsibilities:
You will perform a variety of
diagnostic and analytical testing, including repair of;
FM two-way radios
Analog and Digital
trunking systems (OpenSky,P25,EDACS,SmartNet,MPT1327,LTR,
and PassPort)
Mobile Data
Computers
Dispatch Consoles (Orbacom\IPC\Positron,
CML, CentraCom)
Microwave (Alcatel,
Stratex\Harris, and Nera)
Voting and
Simulcast Systems
The position requires a strong background in IT systems and
an in depth understanding of radio communication systems
utilized by a typical PSAP.
The candidate should have the ability to; lay out jobs,
execute projects from start to finish, provide input on
planning processes related to communications equipment and
systems and other electronics equipment and systems, provide
customer service interface,respond to failures and
emergencies involving communications and other electronic
systems and equipment, perform routine and preventative
maintenance on radio equipment.
